Title: Fed up of formulaic evaluation?
Are you fed up of formulaic evaluation? Are your students struggling to explain why their points matter? Students often settle for recall of the same few generic evaluation points that struggle to allow them to access the higher grades. Yet psychology as a discipline demands causal reasoning, methodological trade-off thinking and justified judgement under uncertainty. This session explores how to move beyond bolt-on AO3 and explicitly teach students to think like psychologists. Drawing on disciplinary literacy, cognitive science and classroom practice, delegates will experience practical strategies that develop authentic psychological reasoning while maintaining exam success.
