Rich started his career at media agency Mediacom, working on Universal Music for albums from artists such as Eminem, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Girls Aloud. He then moved to the BBC where he spent 15 years in the marketing and audiences department, eventually running the media planning department where he looked after a team that oversaw 300+ marketing campaigns per year. Rich left his role at the BBC to pursue an area of personal passion - climate change and the environment - by taking a Masters in Sustainability at the University of Salford. On completion in April 2024, he started a new phase of his career at Marketing Manchester as the Tourism Sustainability Manager, a new role designed to develop, implement, and promote sustainable practice across the tourism and business events industry in Manchester.
