Jade Scott-Blagrove

Dr Jade Elizabeth Scott-Blagrove is an interventional radiology registrar (ST4) working at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is the founder of Widening Participation Medics Network (WPMN), a charitable organisation with over 1000 members. WPMN provides a supportive community to underrepresented groups and breaks down barriers at all stages of the medical journey by sharing resources, experiences and opportunities. Jade is a co-founder of RadReach, a collaboration between WPMN and the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) which offers continued support for final year medical students and foundation doctors from widening participation backgrounds through mentoring and events. She is Vice-Chair of the British Society of Interventional Radiology Trainees (BSIRT) committee and is co-opted onto BSIR’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion committee where she is developing an IR mentorship scheme. She has recently started volunteering for the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe’s European Trainees Forum and will begin her role as a member of the RCR’s Specialty Training Board in September. Jade is passionate about inclusivity and has been working in this space since she was a teenager where she joined the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust’s youth council and became their youngest governor aged 17. Jade graduated from Manchester Medical School in 2018 where she also obtained a first in her intercalated neuroscience degree. She then completed her foundation training in Hillingdon Hospital and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital before heading to Cambridge for radiology training.
