Penny has been a consultant radiologist in the Cambridge Breast Unit since January 2010 in the symptomatic and screening service.
She specialises in breast imaging as part of her interest in women’s imaging, but also specialises in general ultrasound and oncology biopsies. She is Clinical Lead for Ultrasound at Cambridge University Hospitals.
Penny is involved with a number of research projects in breast imaging at a local and national level and has published many peer review articles. She lectures nationally and internationally and written book chapters and education modules for the Royal College of Radiologists. She reviews research papers for peer review journals to potentially accepted for publication.
Penny is actively involved with teaching which included radiologists in training, sonographers and medical students. She is also involved in clinical audit to improve service delivery and standards within the Breast Unit and throughout the hospital.
