Reporting: Introducing the new CEM BIRADS

Since its approval in 2011, CEM has seen rapid global adoption, prompting the need for a specialized lexicon. In 2022, the American College of Radiology introduced a new lexicon specifically for CEM, adapting traditional BI-RADS® frameworks to better suit the unique features of CEM imaging. This lexicon categorizes findings into distinct scenarios, refines descriptors for internal enhancement, and standardizes terminology to enhance consistency in reporting and research. The lecture will detail these developments and discuss their implications for the future of breast imaging.

CEM biopsy - how I do it

This lecture explores the practical and theoretical aspects of performing a CEM-guided biopsy. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the step-by-step procedure and the clinical indications for using CEM guidance in biopsies. The session will review the strengths and limitations of CEM-guided biopsy, and discussing its future relevance as the use of contrast-enhanced techniques continues to rise. Additionally, attendees will benefit from practical case studies and receive expert tips for effectively conducting CEM-guided biopsies, enhancing their procedural skills and clinical decision-making.
