Puneet Monga

Professor Puneet Monga is a Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder Surgeon at Wrightington Hospital. His clinical practice is focussed on shoulder arthroplasty and challenging rotator cuff conditions.

Prof Monga is the Clinical Director for Research, Innovation and Clinical Trial at the Wrightington Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust and the specialty lead for the Edge Hill University Medical School. His main area of research interest relates to glenoid reconstruction, arthritis affecting the younger patients, irreparable rotator cuff and precision surgical techniques such as the application of 3D printing in surgical care. Such interest is linked to development of various innovative surgical devices. He has won various academic prizes and distinctions during his career. He routinely contributes scientific work to national and international conferences, courses, books, and scientific journals.
