Title: Accessible breast diagnostics for global health - a problem and a possibility
The
number of women with breast cancer is projected to increase. The
increase will be most prominent in low- and middle-income countries,
which often struggle with insufficient health-care infrastructure and
trained personnel. A view on established and novel methods to provide
accessible breast diagnostics in low-resource or remote
settings, will be presented, including the promising possibility of AI.
Title: The Mammography Screening with Artificial Intelligence trial (MASAI)
The Mammography
Screening with Artificial Intelligence trial (MASAI) is the first
randomised controlled trial evaluating AI-supported screening to standard
double reading. The design, rationale, and results will be presented
together with lessons learned.
