Dr Harry Singh-Lalli is a Consultant in Public Health and the Senior Clinical Lead for Breast Screening in NHS England.
His passion for screening began prior to his medical training, in his first job as a screener/grader in the Diabetic Eye Screening programme in Birmingham. After completing the graduate medical programme at the University of Nottingham, he undertook his speciality training in the East of England, including an Academic Clinical Fellowship at the University of Cambridge. Since late 2021, he has worked primarily in screening quality assurance, across multiple programmes in the Midlands and East of England, before taking up his current role in the Breast Screening programme in January this year.
Harry completed his MPhil in Public Health at Cambridge University, and continues to have strong links there, having subsequently taken up annual invitations to give lectures on breast cancer screening and acted as a tutor for medical students at Homerton College. Alongside his passion for medical education, his interests include medical ethics and health and justice. Harry has been a magistrate since 2019, sitting on the Central London bench and on appeals at both the Old Bailey and Southwark Crown Court.
