Dr Shaheel Bhuva is a Consultant Radiologist at Oxford University Hospitals, UK, specialising in positron emission tomography / computed tomography (PET/CT) and cross-sectional oncology imaging. He joined Oxford as a screening and symptomatic Consultant Breast Radiologist and lead radiologist for the metastatic breast cancer multidisciplinary meeting. He has been a Lecturer in Pre-Clinical Medicine and Undergraduate Tutor at Worcester College, University of Oxford; completed his post-CCT Clinical Fellowship in PET Imaging at King’s College London- Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, his radiology training at Leeds University Teaching Hospitals, and medical undergraduate degree at University College London.
Shaheel is a member of a National Cancer Audit Clinical Reference Group, and fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists. He has published multiple articles in peer-review journals, and regularly delivers national and international presentations for which he has won several international wards. He is an enthusiastic educator, Southeast Imaging Academy Tutor, faculty member for several national radiology courses, and previous Royal College Tutor and Oxford School of Radiology training scheme committee member. He has been nominated for, and won, multiple undergraduate and postgraduate teaching awards, and Staff Recognition Awards at Oxford University Hospitals.
