Charles Zammit

Mr Charles Zammit is a Consultant Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at Universities  Sussex NHS Trust, Honorary Associate Professor at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), and Co-Chair for Breast Cancer at the Surrey and Sussex Cancer Alliance. With over two decades of experience, he has contributed to landmark breast cancer studies including ALMANAC, COMICE, and IBIS, which helped shape modern clinical practice. He has a subspecialty interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, having established and streamlined local services including a dedicated FNA thyroid clinic and parathyroid MDM. Deeply committed to medical education, he has been involved with BSMS since 2004, and currently supports students through remedial teaching, guiding them to regain confidence and progress in their clinical years.
