Ruchi has been a consultant radiologist at Addenbrooke’s, since 1999, specialising in Breast Imaging. She was appointed Clinical sub dean for CUH in 2011, with responsibility for all medical student teaching across the Trust. She is also an Affiliated Assistant Professor at the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine and Fellow & Director of Studies in Clinical Medicine at Murray Edwards College, University of Cambridge, where she was vice president from 2014 – 2019. In 2021, Ruchi was appointed as a cultural ambassador for CUH.

Ruchi is committed to excellence in breast imaging and actively participates in research to inform and improve clinical service. She has a strong involvement in all aspects of medical education and training, for which she has received multiple awards at university, regional and national levels. Ruchi also undertakes many education-related roles for the Royal College of Radiologists, including Deputy Chair of the final FRCR part B exam board. Ruchi is a regular invited speaker at national & international meetings.
