The North West Cleft Network and I are delighted to host the 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Craniofacial Society of Great Britain and Ireland on 17- 19 April at the famous Midland Hotel in Manchester. A city renowned for innovation, scientific breakthroughs, cutting-edge technology and infamous sports teams makes it a fitting venue for our collaborative multi-disciplinary conference.

With a deep-seated history of cleft care in the North West and five universities in Manchester alone, we hope our meeting will provide a forum for sharing research findings and inspiring new collaborative projects.

Manchester’s emblem for over 150 years has been the worker bee, it reflects a city made by hard-working people and has also come to represent a sense of unity - both qualities reflected in the cleft centres in Great Britain and Ireland.

Manchester is a vibrant, unique, and eclectic city with a multitude of hotels, restaurants, bars, museums, galleries and sports stadia.
