Title: Making equality our speciality
Ways of thinking about disability have radically changed in the decades since I was born in 1966. The disabled people's movement, the human rights approach to disability, disabled people's access to health are all part of this - along with a focus on children's rights. What does this mean for our work as clinicians & researchers?
By the end of the session participants will:
- Have an understanding of the disability rights movements, and the barriers faced by disabled children and adults.
- Exploring implications for our work as clinicians and researchers.
