Staff Journalist for The Psychologist magazine – the monthly publication of the British Psychological Society – for the last six years. She writes a mixture of news stories, feature articles, and interviews, as well as producing podcasts for the British Psychological Society’s Research Digest podcast PsychCrunch. Prior to this job Ella completed a degree in psychology followed by a diploma in newspaper journalism before working as a reporter for the Derby Telegraph.

Ella will share some tips on how to write about science for magazines and websites such as The Psychologist & The Conversation including ways to make scientific findings more accessible to the general public. She will also explore how to tell a story about academic findings with wider audiences and potential clients through blogs and podcasts.
