Dominique Rouleau

Dr. Dominique Rouleau is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in upper limb surgery. A graduate of the Édouard-Samson program at the Université de Montréal in 2006, she also holds a master's degree in biomedical sciences – biostatistics. She completed two clinical fellowships and two visiting fellowships in Europe. Dr. Rouleau is a member of both the American and European Shoulder and Elbow Societies and serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Shoulder and Elbow Society. A recipient of several research grants, her most recent randomized study was awarded the prestigious Robin Richards Canadian Research Award.

Since late 2024, she has held a research chair in orthopedics at the Université de Montréal, focusing on chronic post-fracture pain and the underlying mechanisms of fracture nonunion. She is also Interim Head of the Orthopedic Service at CIUSSS NIM, Full Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Université de Montréal, and a researcher at the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal Research Center.
