Michael Hausman

Dr. Michael Hausman was born in Conniticut in the USA and attended college, medical school and orthopedic residency at Yale (with one year in Colorado). Michael has practiced at Mount Sinai for nearly his entire career with a major interest in elbow and nerve reconstruction. Michael has practiced in Liberia for nearly a year and then spent a portion of each year treating children in Caracas, Venezuela. His laboratory work focuses on non-destructive imaging of nerves to be able to predict early after injury if recovery will occur or not. The biomechanics section of his lab works on a variety of elbow stability and reconstruction projects, most recently interposition arthroplasty of the elbow using meniscus allografts and a double internal joint stabilizer.
