Simon MacLean

Simon MacLean is a New Zealand-based orthopaedic surgeon, with an interest in upper limb surgery - particularly elbow trauma. He has a keen interest in research, has published over 80 scientific papers and book chapters, and completed his MD Thesis on Kienbock's disease of the wrist in 2023. He presents research nationally and internationally, and is on the faculty of the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association Hand and Upper Limb Section and is a founding member of the Global Elbow Network. Simon supervises a number of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects at the University of Auckland where is an Honorary Senior Lecturer.
