International Orthoptics Congress 2022

Dear members of the International Orthoptic Association,

After careful consideration, the IOA has decided that, due to the persistent worldwide impact and remaining uncertainty around the COVID-19 crisis, the IOA congress, our 14th Congress, taking place from Thursday 9th - Saturday 11th June 2022, will be a fully virtual event.

Many Congresses have proven beyond doubt that a congress can be a virtual event with absolutely no concessions made in terms of the level of science presented and the delegates’ opportunity to increase their knowledge and better understand the most recent advances and findings in our field.

The International Orthoptic Congress 2022 will continue to represent the association’s goals to promote education, support research, and improve the clinical care and lives of patients with eye motility disorders, amblyopia and any other problems within the extended scope of practice of the orthoptist.
