The Psychology of Sexualities Section is delighted to announce that registration for our 2021 conference is now open. The programme for our online conference includes keynote presentations from leading researchers in the field. Submissions are invited for oral presentations, poster presentations and practitioner-led workshop sessions focussed on best practice in applied settings. We welcome submissions from students, academics and practitioners in the field of psychology and related disciplines.

Submissions are invited in key areas of focus for sexualities research in current society. We are keen to see proposals related to LGBTQIA+ experiences, identities, relationships, communities and health, and also on the representation and marginalisation of LGBTQIA+ identities (for example, heterosexism, homophobia, biphobia and transphobia, in media, politics, healthcare and professional settings), including the role of intersectionality. We also welcome proposals from applied psychologists working with LGBTQIA+ people. Work on sexual orientation and sexual fluidity is also invited. Asexuality is poorly understood and under-researched and we welcome research which can advance our understanding. Relationship diversity is a growing area for research, reflecting the diversity seen in modern society, and we welcome proposals in this area, for example, on non-monogamy and BDSM. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the social and cultural context for sexuality and opens up important avenues for sexuality research. Related to this, we are keen to see proposals on the impact of COVID-19 on sexuality, and on sexuality and sexual identity in online environments. 

The conference is open to members and non-members. Presentation abstracts will be published as conference proceedings in a subsequent issue of the Section publication, Psychology of Sexualities Review. Accepted talks will also be invited to submit a manuscript to the Psychology of Sexualities Review.
