WELCOME TO THE SGIP & DOP VIRTUAL CONFERENCE:
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INDEPENDENT PRACTITIONER OCCUPATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
AN INFORMAL ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION AND Q&A SESSION
Join us at this virtual conference for the opportunity to hear from two very experienced Chartered Occupational Psychologists working in Independent Practice about their experiences of entering and working in the world of IP. We will hear about what drew them towards becoming an IP; what they found to be the pitfalls and obstacles; the rewards and successes and perhaps things they would advise themselves to have done differently. How they built their business and the challenges they see ahead.
We will have a mixture of round table discussion, short presentations, and lots of interaction Q&A with the audience.
If you are an IP or thinking about becoming one this could be helpful in that we aim to provide knowledge and insights into:
Knowledge of key aspects to consider before moving into IP
Knowledge of how to weigh up whether IP is the right move for them personally at this point in time
Knowledge on ways to "step into" IP to trial and test it
