KNOW BETTER, DO BETTER

A Webinar of Practices to Challenge Social Injustice in Therapeutic Work
"When you know better you do better."
Maya Angelou

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR

In this webinar, practitioners will be encouraged to examine the ways their own practice maintains and exacerbates social injustice when working with individuals, families, colleagues and systems, with a specific focus on racism. We all have extensive knowledges and life experiences between us, which we believe needs to be accessed and utilised differently in order for much needed change to happen now. Our hope is that practitioners will leave refreshed and energised to do better in their professional work and personal lives.

CO-CHAIRED BY:

Dr Jasmine Chin Deputy Head of Psychology, Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, Operational Lead, Tower Hamlets Psychological Therapies Service

Dr Chanelle Myrie Clinical Lead, Coram & Independent Practitioner Clinical Psychologist, Southwark Team for Early Psychosis (STEP)

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

All practitioners, managers, head of services, students, trainees interested in the ways their own practice maintains and exacerbates social injustice, and care experienced and service users.
