INTERNATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY STUDENT

CONFERENCE

10 JULY 2021, VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

Deianara Couwet

President of EFPSA (European Federation of Psychology Students' Associations)

Hello there! My name is Deianara Couwet and I am currently in my first year of the Masters of Clinical Pscyhology at the KU Leuven, Belgium. I am 23 years old and have been involved in a lot of extracurricular activities for as long as I can remember.

I joined EFPSA (European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations) a few years ago and recently became the President of EFPSA. EFPSA represents a highly diverse network of psychology students working on a voluntary basis by and for psychology students of Europe. The Federation currently consists of 34 psychology Member Organisations and one Observer Organisation.

As the President I am involved in every aspect of EFPSA which allows me to see the bigger picture, improve the quality of our projects and set goals for the future of EFPSA. As the Presidential Office I oversee the work of the Board together with the Vice President and ensure the continuity of projects and growth of EFPSA in the right direction.

In my free time I love to read, travel, enjoy a nice meal with friends and family, and much more!

Introduction to EFPSA

The European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA) was established in 1987, at the first International Congress of Psychology Students in Portugal. EFPSA represents a highly diverse network of psychology students working on a voluntary basis by and for psychology students of Europe. The Federation currently consists of 34 psychology Member Organisations and two Observer Organisations.

Currently, EFPSA organises eleven events across Europe. Additionally, EFPSA also hosts several online resources and runs its own training service, a research programme, a fully-reviewed, open-access Journal, facilitates studying, working and travelling abroad and makes a positive impact on society through social impact campaigns. Altogether EFPSA has positioned itself to provide psychology students with unique and exciting opportunities for academic, professional and personal development. Stimulated by its mission, vision and values, EFPSA continues to expand its presence and visibility within student communities, refine its activities and develop an unrivalled portfolio of opportunities and membership for European psychology students.

During this session, the President of EFPSA will give an introduction of all you need to know about EFPSA, how you can benefit from EFPSA and how you can get involved.
