This is a new initiative for the Society and this workshop is an opportunity for the BPOS community to shape their SIGs. The focus of this pre-conference event is to identify topics/areas for the SIGs and to agree their role and remit within the Society. This could include development of subject-specific resources, research strategy/collaborations, education events and networking opportunities. An additional benefit is that the SIGs will provide leadership opportunities within the BPOS community.

The event will have a workshop format, and we hope to identify 2/3 areas to take forward as SIGs in this initial phase of implementation. 

This is an important new initiative for BPOS and we are looking forward to hearing your ideas.

The event is open to psycho-oncology professionals (at all career stages) in either practice and research, but is not aimed at those currently in training or undertaking a PhD.

The cost to take part in this workshop has been highly subsidised for those coming to the conference already, with registration starting from just £25 (see here for more details).
