We are delighted to invite you to join us for the 2026 Annual British Psychosocial Oncology Society (BPOS) Conference which will be held in Bristol on the 18 - 20 March 2026. We will be releasing more information over the coming weeks, but some of the other things that you can look forward to at the conference are:
High quality oral presentations, in both long- and short- format;
An opportunity to present work — including protocols and in-progress work — as a poster;
Pre-conference workshops;
Special sessions organised for student and early career members; and,
A networking dinner to socialise with colleagues and connect or reconnect with other BPOS members.
In response to positive feedback from the 2025 conference, we are keeping our abstract theme open and would welcome presentations across the full breadth of psychosocial oncology. Our focus bridges the gap between research and clinical practice and we hope to attract abstract submission spanning both areas of the discipline. Based on previous delegate feedback, we especially welcome submissions related to:
Innovative methodological approaches in psychosocial oncology, including AI and creative methods
Service innovation and improvement
Children and families
Psychological rehabilitation
Contributions from third sector organisations.
We recognise the value placed on collaboration and networking at the BPOS conferences, and plan to allow ample time for this, alongside an opportunity to get involved with our Special Interest Groups (SIGS). Our BPOS Annual General Meeting will also be held as part of the conference where you can hear about all of the work being done behind the scenes by our hard-working Executive Committee.
On behalf of all of the BPOS Executive Committee, I would like to thank you for your membership and interest in our conference. I very much look forward to seeing you in Bristol in the Spring.
