This event will be an opportunity for our new SIG members to meet each other in-person and start discussion about the SIG strategy, objectives, and further projects alongside members of the BPOS Executive Committee.

Given the recent publication of the Cancer Plan, we also intend to include focused discussion on its potential implications for psychosocial oncology research and practice within the pre conference workshop. This will be led by BPOS members who contributed to the development of the Cancer Plan. Together, we will explore how the SIGs can be mobilised to support the implementation of the Plan and to strengthen BPOS’s collective commitment to improving the experiences and outcomes of people affected by cancer.

These workshops are being organised by Prof Lynn Calman, the BPOS SIG Coordinator.
