Francesca Camilleri

Dr Francesca Camilleri is a Consultant Breast Radiologist at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. She graduated from the University of Malta Medical School before completing her radiology specialist training in South East Scotland. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Imaging Sciences from the University of Edinburgh.

Dr Camilleri has a specialist interest in symptomatic breast imaging, image-guided breast interventions including localisation procedures and vacuum-assisted biopsy (VAB), and cross-sectional imaging for breast cancer staging. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred breast imaging and multidisciplinary breast cancer care.

Dr. Camilleri is actively involved in the training of radiology residents and contributes to the breast component of the FRCR examinations. She is passionate about promoting careers in radiology and breast imaging, and plays an active role in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
