Dr Nisha Sharma is Director of the breast screening programme for Leeds and Wakefield and a consultant breast radiologist.
She is active in research and audit and is recognised as a national and international speaker. She developed the UK breast screening guidelines on how to manage high risk lesions. She is also involved in a number of trials looking to minimise over treatment and also support risk adapted screening. She is actively involved in studies involving artificial intelligence. She sits on a large number of committees and is audit lead for the British Society of Radiology.
