ABSTRACTS SUBMISSIONS AND PRESENTATIONS

Will I receive email confirmation of my abstract submission?
Your confirmation of submitting your abstract will be sent to you via email. If you need a copy of this for your records, you should print or save this. You will be able to amend your submission up to the date stated.

How are submissions reviewed?
Abstracts are reviewed by the conference organising committee against the reviewing guidelines.

Are papers published in conference proceedings?
The accepted abstracts are published in the conference programme which is given to each conference delegate but we currently do not publish full papers.

What is the word limit for abstracts?
All submission abstracts should be up to 250 words, exclusive of the title.

What size should my poster be?
Information will be provided shortly.

I applied to the Cyberpsychology section conference 2020 which was postponed due to COVID-19 and my abstract was accepted, do I need to re-apply?
You will be contacted in due course to see if you would like to carry over your abstract from this previous application to the 2021 conference.

How can I check my BPS membership status?
There are a number of ways you can check your BPS membership status.

What does my registration include?
Your conference registration includes access to all of the academic conference sessions, conference programme, delegate list, conference bag, refreshments including lunch. Please view our registration page for the full breakdown of costs.

Will the BPS send me a letter of invitation for visa purposes?
In most circumstances your abstract acceptance and your conference booking confirmation will be sufficient for visa applications. The British Psychological Society will issue acceptance letters to people presenting papers at BPS conferences as well as letters of acknowledgement or receipts for event booking payments. The Society will not issue letters of invitation to delegates attending events.

When will I receive my login details?
The login details for this Webinar will be emailed to all registered delegates the day before the event.

Who is eligible for a concessionary rate?
Concessionary rates apply to student members of the Society, to retired members on Rule 21, to graduate members registered under Rule 15(ii), and Members who are registered under Rule 22. Rule 15(ii) applies if you are a Graduate Member and a postgraduate student/trainee. Rule 22 grants a reduction in membership fees for people who are finding it difficult to pay the full amount, eg through unemployment or temporary hardship.
