Prof. Christina Richards
Prof. Christina Richards will give an overview of gender diversity nationally and internationally as well as the place of counselling psychologists in assisting gender diverse people. In most cases this will be just as for cisgender, (non-trans) people such as bereavement, work, relationship issues etc. However, in some cases it will directly relate to gender diversity including considering hormones and surgeries and this will be covered also. After the overview there will be time for a question and answer session.Dr. Stephen Beyer
Dr. Stephen Beyer,
Lead on Learning Disabilities and Employment, National Centre for Mental
Health, Cardiff University. People with Learning Disabilities: challenging
assumptions about capabilities. He will be asking what our traditional
expectations are of people with learning disabilities. He will further explore
how we are now challenging our assumptions of what people can do or be, and how
we need to support people to fulfil that potential.
Dr Annie Beyer
Using interdisciplinary literature and popular images for illustration purposes Dr Annie Beyer will explore the defining features of creativity and the role it plays in adult expression, communication, and therapeutic change. She will introduce to you the evidence base that supports the use of creativity in our work with adults. You will be invited to reflect on the use of creativity within your own practice, and on the opportunities that this might provide in helping us to embrace and work with individual difference.Yhlith y siaradwyr allweddol mae:
