Dr. Arlene Vetere
Family Therapy & Systemic Practice - VID Specialised University, Norway

Arlene Vetere is Professor of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice at VID Specialized University, Oslo, Norway.

She is a clinical psychologist and a systemic therapist, trainer and supervisor, registered in the UK, where she resides.

In 1996 she established ‘Reading Safer Families’ with Jan Cooper. Their systemic safety methodology for safe relationship therapy practice when violence has occurred forms the basis of this presentation, and is described in their latest book, ‘Intervening After Violence’.

Dr. Mou Sultana
Chartered Psychologist, Psychotherapist

Dr. Mou Sultana is the lead for the Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) workstream within the Division of Counselling Psychology of the British Psychological Society.

She works with the Domestic Violence perpetrators program Men Overcoming Violent Emotion (MOVE) Ireland. Her research interests are the intersections between perinatal mental health, trauma, gender, sexuality, identity and DVA. She is the author of ‘Castration Complex: what’s so natural about sexuality?’, Routledge 2018.
