Laboratorio Pathovet, founded in 2012, is an exclusive biofactory that develops, validates and markets services for the diagnosis and immunology of fish. Our genomic and proteomic biomarkers allow evaluating the response of fish to different health and production strategies such as smoltification, evaluating the immune response of fish against vaccines, immunostimulants, probiotics, functional diets, resistance to diseases, oxidative stress and functionality of different fish’s biological systems, organs and tissues. 

Our presence with laboratories in Chile (Puerto Montt) and Brazil (Riberão Preto, São Paulo) has made us an important reference point on fish health in the salmon and tilapia industries. At the same time, we export services to Peru, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica and New Zealand. Pathovet is the first ISO 17025 accredited veterinary clinical pathology and histopathology laboratory in Chile.
