Davide Blonna

Dr. Davide Blonna is a nationally and internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery, with particular expertise in arthroscopy, joint replacement, instability, and trauma care. He trained at the Reading Shoulder Clinic in London and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, focusing on elbow pathology, minimally invasive shoulder prosthetics, and proximal humerus fracture repair. A dedicated clinical researcher, he has published widely in top orthopedic journals — including JBJS, the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and the Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery — and serves as a reviewer for several international publications. His work has earned him honorary membership in the German and Austrian scientific societies, along with recognition from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons for his widely shared surgical teaching videos. He continues to practice shoulder and elbow surgery at the University Clinic, Mauriziano Hospital, Umberto I, in Turin, while remaining active in training young surgeons. Dr. Blonna currently sits on the steering committee of the Italian Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery and is a member of the European Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery (SECEC) and the Global Elbow Network (GEN).
