Joideep Phadnis

Professor Joideep Phadnis, MBChB, FRCS(Tr&Orth), PhD, is a leading Elbow Surgeon based at University Hospitals Sussex, Brighton in the UK and at Fortius clinic in London.   He is a recipient of a National Clinical Excellence Award in 2023 and has a tertiary referral clinical practice encompassing all aspects of elbow surgery including primary and revision arthroplasty, elite sports and complex trauma making him one of the UK’s most influential elbow surgeons.

Joideep is an honorary Professor at Brighton & Sussex Medical School for his contribution to research and is actively engaged in multidisciplinary teaching, global surgical education, leadership roles.  His contribution to research is extensive with over 100 peer reviewed publications encompassing elbow arthroplasty, tendon reconstruction, sports injuries, trauma, and patient safety.

He is currently director of the Brighton Shoulder & Elbow Fellowship, clinical lead of the Shoulder & Elbow department and lead for research in the British Elbow & Shoulder Society (BESS).
