The ICN NP/APN Network Conference 2024 will provide the largest global forum for advanced practice nurses to network and collaborate on contemporary topics and future trends relevant to their practice. Our conference theme ‘Advanced practice nursing an invaluable investment for global health’ is inspired by the International Council of Nurses strategic priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and Universal Health Coverage.
The 13th International Council of Nurses Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Practice Nurse Network Conference, 9 - 12 September 2024, taking place in the Scottish City of Aberdeen, UK.
We will be bringing you an amazing line up of speakers and workshops that will surprise, inspire and educate.
The 2024 conference will promote stimulating and thought-provoking exchanges, offering delegates the opportunity to meet and share ideas and experiences in both an educational and social environment. Through engagement at the conference, we hope a common language and understanding can develop and grow.

We thank you sincerely for your continued support to our ‘Grant Program’ that was established in 2010 in Brisbane, Australia. The generosity and support from our delegates made it possible to assist some ICN NP/APNN members from developing countries to attend network conferences. Grant recipients will be announced at the conference!
Coming to Aberdeen
A city that looks and feels quite different.
Enriched with breath taking architecture, beautiful gardens, charming historical districts, interesting museums (most of which are free!), good quality restaurants, internationally known golf courses, fun festivals, and even a beach!
But mainly because this isn’t just a city by the sea, it’s a city of the sea. A city where ships dock right up against the city-centre streets. Where urban dolphins leap at the harbour mouth. Where locals paddle-board and surf off the city beach. And golden sands stretch for miles – towards vast dunes to the north and high cliffs to the south. It’s a city of rivers too, where the Dee and the Don meet the sea, bringing crystal clear waters from the Cairngorm mountains.
This is a city with not one but two Old Towns: Old Aberdeen, with its cobbled streets, mature trees and 15th century fortified cathedral – where Aberdeen’s first University was founded in 1495. And then there’s Footdee – known locally as Fittie – a quirky fishing quarter at the water’s edge, with squares of tiny cottages, flower-filled gardens and brightly painted outhouses, their eccentric decorations drawing on the city’s seafaring soul.
