          • 1 - Categories may be split into separate categories based on size depending on the number of entries 
          • 2 - Entries in these categories should be in the form of an abstract with a link to the body of work
          • 3 - Open to current students and recent graduates (within 2 years) 

  • A - Built Projects (on the Island of Ireland)
    • Public Park - both urban and rural settings apply
    • Public / Civic Spaces  1  
    • Linear Landscapes - including streetscapes, pedestrian precincts, road/rail/river corridors, arterials routes etc 
    • Residential Development - public/private housing developments
    • Gardens - all sizes, residential only
    • Sustainable Landscapes to include NbS, SUDS, Renewables
    • Educational Landscapes
    • Commercial Landscapes
    • Healthcare Landscapes
    • Heritage Landscape - conservation, preservation and restoration projects
    • Active Travel Routes to include but not limited to Blue/Greenways
    • Playspace - of any size that demonstrates excellence in design
    • Planting Design - excellence in the use of planting, may be of any scale
  • B - Landscape Technical and Theory
    • Landscape Theory, Policy & Management - concepts, reports, imagery 2
    • Landscape Planning & Assessment - to include LVIA
    • Master Planning & Urban Design
    • Research Project and Publications 2
    • Policies and Initiatives which support Climate Resilience
    • Diane Nickels Memorial Award - hand drawing 3
  • C - Academic (No entry fee required)
    • Student Award - best final year thesis project completed in 2023 or 2024 3
  • D - Other (No entry fee required) - These awards are chosen by the ILI Council and the ILI President respectively
    • Award for Outstanding Contribution to Landscape Architecture - an ILI Council nomination in recognition of the contribution for an individual, group or body that has contributed to the profession and reached the highest standard of achievement over a prolonged period
    • President's Award - selected by the President for the overall winner of the ILI Awards 2024
