With nearly 15 years of experience in online safety consultancy and support, Traci Good is a founding member of the UKCIS 'Vulnerable Users Working Group.' This national coalition is dedicated to crafting resources and standards tailored to the needs of vulnerable and SEND children and young individuals. Traci's expertise extends to her recent writing of the 'Principles for Social Workers' guidance, a document peer reviewed by colleagues at the NSPCC, Ofcom, and the Welsh Government, and now accessible on the .GOV website.
Traci's commitment to promoting online safety is demonstrated through her regular delivery of webinars for both staff and parents, comprising a diverse range of formats including face-to-face sessions, webinars, a concise video program, and informative podcasts.
In collaboration with the Police and Crime Commissioner in Derbyshire, Traci has secured essential funding for the i-vengers online safety program, specifically tailored for children aged 7 to 11. Working in close partnership with Derbyshire police, educational institutions, and children's services, the program's primary objective is to safeguard children by mitigating child sexual exploitation, addressing requests for explicit images, and tackling criminal behaviours online. The i-vengers program embodies a holistic, whole-school approach to online safety, offering comprehensive training opportunities for education, health, and police personnel, accessible through both face-to-face and remote channels. This innovative digital leadership program has undergone redevelopment to cater to Special Schools, now rebranded as 'i-venger Special Agents,' and all are available in both English and Welsh.
Traci's extensive experience also includes a ten-month period as a helpline practitioner on the Harmful Sexual Behaviour Support Service, a Home Office pilot project. In this role, she provided valuable guidance to professionals tasked with addressing harmful sexual behaviour displayed by children, both online and off.
Traci's commitment to online safety advocacy extends to her role as a national assessor for the Online Safety Mark. Additionally, she contributes as a content writer for Project Evolve and plays an active part in the Online Harms Board for Derbyshire and Derby City SCP.
