Katy Boland

Katy is a specialist upper limb physiotherapist, working with people with varied and often complex musculoskeletal conditions at Wrightington Hospital. Katy also works alongside consultant colleagues in clinic, reviewing people following surgery and supporting long-term shoulder and elbow arthroplasty follow up. Katy has published and presented at national scientific meetings. Her ongoing research interests include how information can empower people’s decision-making and improve their musculoskeletal health. Katy works two days a week with the WWL research team and is preparing an NIHR doctoral fellowship application.
