Radhakant Pandey

Mr. Pandey  has been a Consultant  at  the  University Hospitals of Leicester for  about 25 years .

He has over 50 papers published in peer reviewed  journals with over 1700 citations. He is regularly invited for guest lectures and as faculty in both national and international conferences ( BOA, BESS, IOA, IAS, SESI, ASEAN)

Mr. Pandey  been an examiner for the  Intercollegiate FRCS(Orth.) exam. since 2010 and organised  the FRCS(Orth.) exam in 2016. He was awarded the 'Trainer of the Year 2016-2017' by the Leicester deanery.

He has been involved in organising various courses and conferences. He  was the course convenor for Improving outcomes for the shoulder and elbow organised by ORUK /BESS.  He helps organise the popular Leicester Shoulder Trauma Symposium with national and international delegates (for over 11 years) and was one of the  organisers of  the BESS annual conference in 2013

Mr. Pandey was a member of the BESS education committee and is currently a member of BESS instructional course committee. He led the BESS national  working group to develop  national guidelines for the management of Subacromial shoulder pain published in 2025.

He is an Associate Editor for various high impact Indexed journals like  Shoulder and Elbow; and Indian Journal of Orthopaedics

Mr Pandey is currently the GIRFT lead for Orthopaedics for whole of the Midlands region and has served as the head of Elective Orthopaedic Surgery and head of Service for Trauma at UHL
