I am a Research Fellow, and part of the Behavioural and Qualitative Science teams at the National Institute for Health Research Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Research Collaboration West (NIHR ARC West) and the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Behavioural Science and Evaluation (NIHR HPRU BSE). Both teams are based in Bristol, UK.
I am particularly interested in topics related to medicines use and medicines optimisation, illicit drug use and harm reduction interventions for people who use drugs, testing and treatment for HIV, hepatitis c virus. I am also involved in a number of commissioned pieces of work around mental health service provision, with a recent highlight being the development of the mental health strategy for Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care System. In addition to leading projects, and supporting others, I am the programme manager for EPIToPe which is evaluating the scale up of hepatitis c testing and treatment for people who inject drugs.
Prior to joining the University of Bristol, I was a Lecturer in Behavioural Science for Pharmacy Practice at the University of Bath, where I also did my PhD.
Current projects:
EPIToPe; PROACTIVE; BSW ICS Mental Health Strategy; Benzo-Opioid Co-Use; Pharmacy PrEP; HIV Prevention and Testing in GP practices
