Workshop 2: Introduction to meta-analysis
14.00-16.30
Location: Psych D Level 3 3D23, 12A Priory Road
Workshop leader: Richard Cooke
This workshop will introduce the statistical technique meta-analysis, used to pool statistical results from a set of studies identified following a systematic review. Meta-analysis enables you to generate an estimate of the effect size (correlation; effect size difference; odds ratio) across studies, increasing the precision of the overall effect by sample-weighting results so that studies with larger samples receive greater weight. The workshop will be run using the open source software package jamovi.
