Workshop 1: Environmentally Sustainable Research; how to make your behavioural science research more environmentally conscious

This pre-conference workshop will equip you with the knowledge, resources and skills to make your research practices and topics more climate focused.

Workshop 2: Introduction to meta-analysis

Location: Psych D Level 3 3D23, 12A Priory Road

Workshop leader: Richard Cooke

This workshop will introduce the statistical technique meta-analysis, used to pool statistical results from a set of studies identified following a systematic review. Meta-analysis enables you to generate an estimate of the effect size (correlation; effect size difference; odds ratio) across studies, increasing the precision of the overall effect by sample-weighting results so that studies with larger samples receive greater weight. The workshop will be run using the open source software package jamovi.

Workshop 3:  Approaches to coproducing engaging and effective healthcare interventions with people from underserved communities
14.00-16.00
Location: Psychology common room, 12A Priory Road

Workshop leaders: Rosie Essery, Ingrid Muller, Sarah Denford, Hannah Bowers

This interactive workshop will include discussions about the range of approaches and tools used during co-production activities with communities, and provide examples of novel and flexible ways of partnering with diverse communities to collaboratively develop accessible and engaging interventions.
