UKSBM invites abstracts for presentation in the following themes:

Alcohol and tobacco and other substances
Methodology                                                           
Behaviour change interventions (digital and non digital)
Older adults
Cancer
Physical activity
Children’s health and wellbeing
Primary care
Climate Change
Psychological wellbeing
Health services
Stakeholder involvement
Inequalities
Weight management and healthy eating
Medicines Optimisation
Women’s health

Please note, case studies will not be considered.

Presentation Formats Available

  • Oral presentations  - Allocated 15 minutes in the programme, we suggest a 12 minute presentation and 3 minutes for Q & A
  • '5 Slides in 5 minute' oral presentation
  • Poster presentation
  • Symposia presentation - Allocated 60 minutes in the programme
  • Roundtables - Allocated 60 minutes in the programme

Please note, the committee reserve the right to adjust these timings when programming.

Speaker Bookings and Attendance

Once the review process is complete all accepted speakers will need to register and pay for their attendance at the conference. 

Please note we have no intention, at this time, to offer virtual presentations. The event will take place in person at Sheffield Hallam University.

Key Dates

Abstract submission closed: 10am GMT, Wednesday 28 January 2026  

Abstract acceptance emailed: End of February 2026

Abstract presenters registration deadline: Monday 10 March 2026

All presenting authors must register and pay to attend the Annual Scientific Meeting. Acceptance of abstracts, oral and poster presentations, into the programme is dependent upon receipt of registration.
