The Scottish Economic Society is committed to equality and diversity and expects its events to be positive environments where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

The Scottish Economic Society supports rigorous academic debate but does not tolerate bullying, harassment or victimisation. Whether attending in person, or using the virtual platform, you must remain respectful of other participants at all times. 

All engagements whether in-person or virtual should be professional and courteous.You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective. However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle individuals or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in these environments, you are expected to obey this rule.
