Welcome Reception, Monday 25 April

Òran Mór, Gaelic for ‘great melody of life’ or ‘big song’, is a thriving arts & entertainment venue in the heart of Glasgow’s West End.

Delegates will be welcomed to the City of Glasgow beneath the celestial ceiling mural by Alasdair Gray, one of Scotland’s largest pieces of public art. 

Following the drinks reception you are spoilt for choice as the West End has some of the best restaurants in Scotland. You can dine downstairs at Òran Mór or there are a number of other superb restaurants within walking distance including restaurants on the famous Ashton Lane.  

The winner of the Sir Alec Cairncross Prize and the winner of the SJPE Best Paper of the Year Prize will be announced at the reception.
