Damien O'Mullan - Head of Energy

Damien is Head of Energy for Northern Ireland Water and leads the team across a number of ongoing energy efficiency and renewables projects. Damien is a Civil Engineer with more than 10 years’ experience in the energy and renewables industry in Northern Ireland.


Lilian Parkes - Business Improvement Project Manager

Lilian has worked at NI Water for over 15 years. Currently working within the Business Improvement team, Lilian is responsible for leading on various projects including Corporate Power Purchase Agreements, multiple Energy initiatives such as Heat Recovery from Wastewater and Land Use (for Renewables). 


Colin Murtagh - Reduce Use Energy Programme Manager

Colin has worked at NI Water for 14 years. Working within the Business Improvement team, Colin's role involves working across a variety of energy efficiency projects within the Water and Wastewater Production Lines, focusing on reducing energy usage and driving optimisation across NI Water assets. Colin's experience in this sector includes the roll out of the Real Time Control (RTC) initiative and Process optimisation at Wastewater sites to solar development opportunities.  


Catherine Higgins - Programme Manager

Catherine has worked at NI Water for 15 years. Catherine's role currently involves being responsible for the successful delivery of the renewable energy initiatives, including solar, wind, power purchase agreements and the energy supply aspects of electric vehicles.  Catherine's previous roles included outsourcing of fleet service maintenance & repair for NIW fleet and the development of Dunore solar energy farm.
