As the regional business development agency, Invest NI's role is to grow the local economy. We do this by helping new and existing businesses to compete internationally, and by attracting new investment to Northern Ireland. We are part of the Department for the Economy and provide strong government support for business by effectively delivering the Government’s economic development strategies.

Richard Elliott

Richard Elliott is an International Trade Adviser for Invest NI, consulting with and assisting customers to develop export strategies and practical know-how that will increase their export sales.  Richard’s client portfolio is focused within the Electronics, Consumer Products and Education/Edtech sectors.

Derval Mooney

Tenders Alert Service

Derval is responsible for the day to day running of the Tenders Alert Service. The Service is an annual subscription service provided by Invest Northern Ireland that enables eligible Northern Ireland businesses to identify UK, ROI and other European Union contract opportunities from a wide range of public sector organisations via a daily email alert.

The Service costs £100 plus VAT per annum, following a three month free trial period.

In the most recent survey, 37 businesses on the Service won 159 contracts potentially worth £259 million.

Business Information Centre

The Invest Northern Ireland Business Information Centre provides free access to company databases and market intelligence reports, including sector and country information, to help companies in Northern Ireland make decisions based on sound commercial intelligence.


Daniel Purdy

Energy and Resource Efficiency Team

Daniel is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years experience working within various companies and sectors.  He currently is a Technical Advisor within INI’s ERE team, providing guidance and support to businesses on issues relating to energy, waste, water and material use.

The ERE team provide grant support for energy and resource efficiency projects, free technical consultancy and a resource sharing service.  All the schemes are designed to reduce operating costs and make businesses more sustainable and environmentally responsible.
